Leister FurnitureIt was just after World War II that Ken Leister started a modest business repairing and refinishing antique furniture in a two-story garage. He was soon joined by his brother, Roger, and in 1953 they turned their woodworking skills to creating beautiful antique reproductions.
During the next three decades, the Leister brothers built a national reputation for their traditionally styled pine collections for every room in the home. By the mid-Eighties, responding to changes in the marketplace and in consumer preferences, they created a new niche for Leisters Furniture, specializing in occasional tables crafted in solid hardwoods. The success of this new direction is reflected in the continued expansion of their manufacturing facilities, which today occupy over 100,000 square feet in Hanover, Pennsylvania.
